Days 8 & 9 - The weekend

Saturday - Brandon made pancakes on the Blackstone. The girls gave it a 10 out of 10! I rearranged the kitchen and packed some of our food into airtight containers. I do NOT want to find anything in my food, and we don't really know where we are going to be or what's out there, so better safe than sorry. After that was all complete Brandon and I headed out with Alexis to look at cars in the Tampa area. Our first stop was a tad sketchy... ok super sketchy. Our second stop was at CarMax, which was absolutely terrible. We walked in to tell them our budget and they basically laughed at us. We walked the lot and looked at the cars, but every single car was grossly overpriced. Between the overpriced cars, the overly hot weather, and the rain that started I was ready to head back home. So, no car this weekend. Brandon has appointments tomorrow (Monday) to look at cars with Alexis.
Brandon and I unwound with a few games. We played Tenzie, Dominoes, and after dinner we played 500 Rummy which Brandon whopped me with over double. Those of you that know us know it is rare that I don't win at cards. He framed the scorecard as his trophy.

Sunday - I was once again in a rearranging mood. I woke up and started cleaning the bathroom, bedroom, and then had to figure out where my desk should go so I wouldn't have to wake the girls up bright and early to work. Originally, we had my desk in the toy hauler part where they sleep, but 8am is too early for these girls so we had to make changes. We are starting to really settle in and have a routine. Brandon woke up this morning and went for a ride on his motorcycle to a coffee shop. He said it was a super cute place.
Brandon came home and rallied the troops! We all loaded up and went to the Orlando Mall. It was packed; completely packed. It always amazes me how many people bring suitcases to the mall to wheel their purchases around. We were at the mall for a few hours, then came back. It was the first time we left the animals for an extended period of time. To the best of our knowledge, they did great.

Things we learned:
  • Don't keep your fingers in the way of the door. My pinky was closed in the door, and it is not pretty!
  • We can really make this place our own through decorating. It's really starting to feel like a home.
  • A lot of places are closed in this little town on Sundays.
  • CarMax is a rip off and threw me into a fit of rage.
Much Love,
The Blackshire's

365 Days of Roaming!

Today is the official 365th day of being on the road. It's crazy to think about all we have done in the last 365 days, and even crazier...
