Today is finally Friday! Brandon and I started our day with breakfast tacos (yum) and then finishing what is needed to set up our Domicile. We found out the laundromat right around the corner is a print/fax/notary/laundromat, which is super convenient. We printed our paperwork and will be sending it in to complete our new "address". The system with Escapees is pretty cool. They will forward you your mail wherever you are, and they will even sort out what you need and what you don't. We figured while we were in a "city" that we would look into cars for Alexis. We were in the area known as "The Villages". If you don't know, it is a major retirement community where everyone drives golf carts around. Even the hospital in that area has golf cart parking. It's also one of the most concentrated areas of STD's because old people can't get pregnant so who cares about protection! Anyway, no luck with the car.
Brandon and I went for a scoot on the longboard and took Bruce with us. We took him to the dog park at the RV resort and we met Willow, a French Bulldog. Super cute, and super slobbery!
After that is when we went off and ran our errands. We picked up a few items from Walmart, which I am convinced has taken almost $1000 from us in the last week. That place is just a trap! We were looking for a small grill, possibly propane, but all we found was a bunch of charcoal grills and propane grills that took large propane tanks. Then we saw it! A 17" Blackstone electric flat grill. The possibilities are endless! In my head we already did Hibachi and made pancakes! Obviously, we purchased it for our dinner tonight, Steak and shrimp. Our mini-Blackstone is a great addition to our RV. Before we started dinner Brandon and I played some cards on our deck. Yes, we have a deck. Bruce joined us and soaked up the sun! If you are wondering, of course I kicked his ass at scat. Don't let him tell you differently. After cards we went to the pool to cool off. Now, I lived in south Florida for quite some time prior to moving back to Buffalo, NY. I don't remember the hot, humid, gross weather, but here we are! I was drenched just from playing cards, and so was Brandon, who I never see sweat at all! Before we could actually make dinner, we took a dip in the pool. Alanna joined us while Alexis and Ariana relaxed in the RV. They showered and washed their hair today so they couldn't possibly go in the pool. It is pretty great enjoying a pool you do not have to maintain.
We came back and made a pretty great dinner. Alexis helped by making the rice in the rice cooker. And yes, she did wash it first!
All in all, it was a great day!
What we learned:
- The women in the RV resort really like asking Brandon to help them with things... even if their boyfriend/husband/whomever is around.
- White leggings are not a great idea especially with black underwear. Someone should tell our neighbor.
- It is really hard to find a reasonable car for Alexis.
- I cannot swim underwater and hold my breath the length of the pool. In my defense, I haven't been underwater in decades.
- The mini-Blackstone is pretty cool!
- I have no idea what selfie angles are flattering - it is what it is!
