We finally made it to Florida! What a wild five days it has been. We laughed, almost cried, laughed some more, and got through everything thrown at us.
Home is where we park it now. We unhitched, leveled the rig, hooked up the water, put all the slides out, got the motorcycle out of the garage, set up the party deck, cleaned, and organized.
The girls went for a dip in the pool while Brandon and I finished putting the place together. Brandon and I went to Walmart, which is a stone's throw away, and picked up some items for the RV and for dinner. We had pesto pasta with Caesar salad. The pesto was made by my mom, Marie, from the basil that she grew in her garden. I bet she could hear the girls going "mmmm" as they ate their first and second helpings. Of course, we forgot to get something sweet, so about an hour later peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were dessert. These kids are just like their father.
I forgot how crazy the sky can get in Florida. The clouds quickly rolled in, it sprinkled, there was a rainbow, and then thunder and lightning. Then it all went away. Now we are watching movies and relaxing as a family.
Much Love,
The Blackshire's
