Where to begin? Thursday Alexis got her license! Yay, but also terrifying! Brandon was able to driver Alexis and Ariana back to South Florida, then pick them up and take them to Pompano for the road test, then bring them back to South Floriday, and then after Alexis dropped Brandon back at his cousins house the car stopped working. It made it down to South Florida and through the road test, but after that, we don't know. It's ok, we will get it fixed and she will have her car again.
Friday: Brandon flew back to Orlando, where I had to drive an hour to pick him up. I do not like large airports like that. But, we found him, and we were on our way. Brandon got a new bow string from his cousin who owns Ghost Strings - if you need a new string 10/10 highly recommend Clayton. He knows what he is doing!
We got back to our home base and went to the DMV to officially change our license and registrations to Florida. We accomplished the license; Monday will be the registrations. It was much easier to change our license considering we were both Florida residents before. Also Friday, I did not get a lot of work done... the three of us played Rummy where Alanna now kicked our asses. Yes, Alanna! She gained bragging rights and framed her score card and put it on the fridge. Brandon was exceptionally tired from his travels, so he went to bed early and I went to bed not too long after him because well, we snuggle! There, it is out there in the public. We are snugglers!
This morning we got up, ate breakfast, and planned our route to Arkansas. What's in Arkansas? Nothing that we know, but we will be there for two weeks. There is white water rafting, and we plan on checking that off of our bucket list! We also went to Tampa to get the plates from the Grand Marquis so we can turn them into NYS; we all know how important that is! On our way back down to Bushnell we stopped at a strip mall called KRATE Krate the Grove (krateatthegrove.com). It was a bunch of shops and restaurants that are old shipping crates. Super cute spot. We picked up some natural deodorant; watch out world, we are getting off the aluminum store brands and going natural. Seeing how we will not be in close proximity to people we know, why not give it a try? Brandon and Alanna also got Hawaii shaved ice, and we all came home with one musubi; something we haven't found since leaving the Island of Oahu.
All in all, nothing exceptionally exciting happening in the last few days.
Things we learned:
- Buying used is a gamble, but it will be fine.
- Bruce is on high alert when Brandon is not home. He becomes the man of the house afterall.
- Alanna wanted pizza for dinner tonight. Not normal pizza, boujie pizza, and we delivered! Caramelized onions, bacon, spinach, goat cheese, and balsamic glaze. Not too shabby!
- I was beat twice in 500 Rummy, but I broke that tonight! Crushed it against Brandon!
That's my grandbaby wanting boujie pizza. Extra goat cheese please. Oh forgot to tell you the plant is still alive...for now. I'll keep you updated. Safe travels to Arkansas don't forget pics.
