If you know me you know I love plants, and I sold or gave away a lot of my plants for this adventure. I still have about a half (or full) dozen plants that I could not get rid of. One is a peperomia from my sister (Mischa), one is a Peace Lilly that I split off from my mom's Peace Lilly, another is a Spider plant that belonged to my best friend's (Johana) mother, and the others are just small miscellaneous plants that I knew would not take up too much space in the RV. I even have an air plant, which air plants always fascinated me. Their seeds travel by air (not the fascinating part because a lot of plants do that), but then they attach to almost anything and need little effort they thrive. They don't need the things "normal" plants need to survive. They do not require soil, or any specific environment. They are minimalists. They require air and water every so often. Maybe we aren't roaming, maybe we are air plants?
I'm on a mission to find some amazing air plants, maybe one, or two, or 15 to take with me. These are two of the coolest ones I've seen so far, but they will stay put because I already have one that looks like them. We even saw one thriving living on a fence.
Alanna discovered that Alfred likes being in a hammock type environment. She put her hoodie on backwards and he hung out in it for quite a while. He has been binking around the RV and enjoying life like he normally does! If you have never seen a rabbit bink before, please YouTube it. You will be smiling all day and then some!
Brandon went to an RV swap shop to see if we can sell our couches to replace them with a sleeper sofa couch. Unfortunately, they did not want to purchase our couches, so they will stay with us until we figure it out. Dinner tonight was Lasagna and salad. This was going to be our first time using the oven in the RV; yay! Except, we couldn't figure out how to turn the oven on, so we went with option 2. The convection oven. It turned out pretty good, and halfway through the cooking process Brandon looked up how to use the oven. So, it has been requested that we have meat loaf.
We finally went for ice-cream. Uncle John suggested that on our adventures we stop at ice-cream places and rate them in honor of Grandma. I don't know why we didn't think of that, but that is genius! I mean, if we have to do it, we have to do it! Alexis drove us in her new-to-her car, less than a mile away, to Sweet Lickz Ice-Cream. The review: The hard ice-cream is Hershey, not too bad! However, they ran out of vanilla soft serve, so Alanna got a little bit of chocolate to top off her cone, she would maybe give it an 8 out of 10. My go-to flavor is cookie dough, because evidently, I am still a small child, but they didn't have any. So, I got the Peach which was delicious! I would give it a 10 out of 10. Alexis had cappuccino crunch; she highly recommends it with a 10 out of 10! Ariana got Strawberry Cheesecake, also a 10 out of 10. Brandon had Orange Sherbert, another 10 out of 10! I don't really know if you can rate ice-cream low, but we are going to continue our study and hopefully never find out!
Things we learned:
- Our domicile paperwork needs to be overnighted to finalize our residency
- Ariana is weirdly good at playing pool
- I am becoming accident prone, and I don't like it
- The convection oven is basically an air fryer oven
- The sensors on our tanks (black and grey) are not accurate and stop stressing over them.
- Don't forget that ice-cream makes us happy!
Much Love,
The Blackshire's
Wow trying the ice cream shops on the road is going to be amazing. Miss Bruce Wayne. Willow is still looking for him. At this point he is winning hide and go seek, lol.
